One project from opening to installation

Link structural work to the finished kitchen
Opening a kitchen into another room changes circulation, sightlines and the places where cabinetry can finish. At Markethill properties, we can coordinate suitable wall removal and open-plan alterations with the later kitchen installation. We assess the proposed opening, structural support and related doorway changes before finalising the fitted layout. Where required and suitable, structural beams can be supplied and fitted. Planning both sides together helps the new opening serve the room, rather than leaving a beam, step or short return wall that fights with the cabinet design.
Order the transformation from messy to finished
Our project planning covers access, deliveries and the sequence of trades travelling from our Portadown base to your Markethill home. Structural alteration comes before making good, service changes and final surfaces. Cabinet fitting follows once the room is prepared, with worktops, appliances and finishing details added in their proper order. Design and finish choices can be discussed at our showroom before site work begins. Defining those decisions early gives us a clearer programme and prevents a late product change from holding up an already altered room.

Frequently asked questions
Can you remove a wall and fit the new kitchen?
Yes. Suitable wall removal and open-plan changes can be coordinated with a complete kitchen installation. We first assess the proposed opening and structural requirements, then relate the building work to the final layout.
Will you make good after structural alterations?
Making good can form part of the agreed project. The affected walls, ceiling and floor may need plastering, levelling or other preparation before services, finishes and cabinetry can be completed.
How is a Markethill project scheduled?
We define access, structural work, products, trade preparation and deliveries before agreeing the programme. Site stages are then arranged in dependency order, with fitting beginning after the altered room is suitably prepared.
