Preparation that helps the fitting last

Start by seeing what needs repair
Old cabinets and tiles can hide uneven plaster, damaged floors and outdated service routes. At Dungannon properties, we can begin with an agreed kitchen strip-out, separating retained items and clearing the room for inspection. Once the old installation is gone, the required repairs become easier to define. Plastering can make good areas affected by cabinets, tiles or changed services, while floor preparation creates a sound base for later finishes. Tackling those issues before new units arrive gives the fitter straighter surfaces and fewer unpleasant discoveries.
Move from exposed room to finished surfaces
We schedule trades from our Portadown base and coordinate site visits to your Dungannon home. Removal comes first, followed by relevant service work, plaster repairs and surface preparation. Wall or floor tiling is then placed in the programme according to the cabinet and worktop design. Selected finishes can be viewed at our showroom before the project starts. Advance decisions about access, disposal and materials help each visit leave the room ready for the next task, rather than creating a half-cleared space that waits on an overlooked repair.

Frequently asked questions
Can you remove and dispose of my old kitchen?
Yes. Strip-out, removal and disposal can be included as one planned stage. We first identify retained items and required service disconnections, then clear the agreed cabinets, surfaces and appliances ready for preparation.
What happens if the walls are damaged after removal?
We assess the exposed surfaces and identify patch repairs, skimming or other preparation needed before fitting. The work is then agreed and placed before tiling or cabinetry so poor walls aren't simply hidden again.
Can I choose tiles before work begins in Dungannon?
Yes. Selected tile ranges, including porcelain floor options, can be viewed at our Portadown showroom. We then plan surface preparation, quantities and fitting around the actual areas at your Dungannon property.
